Q: If I appoint Awards Intelligence to draft my nomination, what happens next?

In summary:
Step 1

Once you have chosen which of our four levels of service suits you best, we will email over a letter of engagement for you to sign and return if you are happy with it.

Step 2

We will introduce you to your dedicated consultant (and to our CEO Mark if you opt for our Ultimate service). They will arrange a briefing call to go through the nominee’s background and achievements in detail and to discuss the ideal nominator and mix of supporters.

Step 3

Your consultant will start drafting your nomination and will contact each potential supporter to let them know that the nominee is being put forward for an honour. We will ask them if they would like to support the process with a letter. If so, we then have a phone call or exchange of emails with the supporter as to why they think the nominee is worthy of an honour and then we offer to professionally draft the letter for the supporter to sign and return if they are happy with what we have written. Each letter is bespoke and reflects their personal feelings for the nominee. We can also approach the potential nominator if necessary.

Step 4

We email the draft nomination to you for your comments / approval and amend if necessary. We email the letters of support to you as and when they arrive.

Step 5

Once you are happy with everything, we send the nomination and letters to the nominator for them to email to the Honours and Appointments Secretariat at the Cabinet Office.
It’s a tried and tested process having done over 900 nominations. We spend 100-150 hours on a typical nomination so appointing us will save you considerable time, effort and aggravation. We will also significantly increase your chances of success. Our average success rate is 2 in 3 compared to an estimated industry average of just 1 in 10.
