Awards Intelligence’s Director of Communications, Lesley Hussell, spoke with Sky news to discuss the 2025 New Years Honours list. You can watch the interview HERE.

There were 1,227 honourees announced, all having been recognised for their dedication and positive impact in their communities and organisations.

In order to garner an Honour, a nominator must write a submission to the Honours and Appointments Secretariat setting out the nominee’s work and achievements in an official nomination document. They will also need to provide a minimum of two supporting letters.

Once submitted, and if successful, the nominee will be notified and invited to receive their honour at at an investiture ceremony at one of the main royal palaces. If a nomination is unsuccessful the nominee cannot be re-nominated until a minimum of two years has passed, and then the nomination must show a significant improvement to the initial unsuccessful nomination.
