New Year Honours Highlights 2015

Christopher Brinsmead CBE was awarded with a CBE in The New Years Honours List 2015.

Chris currently serves as the Life Sciences Business Advisor to the UK government of Prime Minister David Cameron and was previously appointed by then Prime Minister Gordon Brown as a business ambassador with a remit to promote UK life science excellence abroad. 

Chris has the important role of maximising the relationship between the NHS and the life sciences sector. Part of Chris’ remit will also be to aid communication of health and business policy developments to the NHS academia and the industry as a whole.

Chris is well know within this sector he was the president od UK pharma sector body ABPI and previously served as Chairman of Astra Zeneca UK Limited, as President of Astra Zeneca UK Limited.

The UK is determined to remain a world leader in the field of life sciences By helping the government, NHS, academia and industry to work together, Chris has played a key role in helping the UK maintain its comparative advantage.
