Despite the growth in the number of web awards the Webby Awards remain one of the most well-recognised and highly-prized. The 2012 Webby Awards received some 1,000 applications from over 60 countries.
Now in their 18th edition, the Webby Awards have evolved to incorporate the latest trends and developments. This year there are now categories to cover Interactive Advertising & Media, Online Film & Video, Mobile & App, Social Web and Websites. This has taken the number of potential categories to over 100, so there is likely to be something for everyone, from viral marketing to mobile and GPS.
Winners of the Webby Awards will join an elite group that includes many of the biggest names in the industry. Smaller companies need not fear though – Entries are judged on merit and not on the size of your operation.
