British Renewable Energy Awards 2014

Renewable energy is firmly on the agenda of today. The UK faces potential energy shortages as soon as the year 2017. And despite the government’s recent commitment to building a new generation of nuclear plants, energy from renewable sources is essential to avoiding rolling blackouts and a repeat of the crises that plagued the 1970s.

Fortunately, the UK renewable energy industry is booming. Recent research by the REA reveals that it is worth £12.5 billion to the economy and supports over 110,000 jobs. The British Renewable Energy Awards are one of a handful of prestigious accolades bestowed upon the movers and shakers of this dynamic industry.

2014 is the 9th edition of these awards, thus they are both well established and well recognised in the UK and internationally. Over the last few years they have recognised and celebrated the achievements of organisations and individuals who have paved the way in innovation and excellence. Previous winners include organisations of all sizes, from SMEs to the major energy companies.
