The EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ programme is considered to be one of the world’s most prestigious business awards. Entering the UK programme will provide an opportunity for you to showcase your talents and celebrate your success.
EY Entrepreneur Of The Year is open to entrepreneur-led businesses whether private or listed, socially orientated, family-owned or private equity backed, across all commercial and industrial sectors.
Now in its 28th year globally and 16th year in the UK, Entrepreneur Of The Year has honoured the inspirational leadership of entrepreneurs such as James Lambert from R&R Ice Cream, Lance Uggla from Markit, Stephen Catlin from Catlin Group, Ayman Asfari from Petrofac and Michael Spencer from ICAP.
The programme starts locally in your region with interviews, a regional judging panel and celebration event where winners are announced including the overall regional Entrepreneur Of The Year. All regional winners then progress to compete at the UK finals where the eventual overall UK winner then joins the other global country winners in Monte Carlo to vie for the title of World Entrepreneur Of The Year.
Entering the awards will help you:
Reflect on your current strategy and set your vision for future growth
Enhance your personal and business profile through increased PR coverage
Network with an influential community of business leaders
Gain access to key insights, thought leadership and leading events for entrepreneurs
If successful, you also get the opportunity to enhance your credentials through the use of the Entrepreneur Of The Year logo
The categories for the awards are dependent on the entries received, though some of the more common categories are listed below:
Emerging — an entrepreneur that is leading a business which has been running between two and seven years with a sustainable business model and the potential to scale or grow their business.
International — an entrepreneur who has developed business in international locations either by exporting or by establishing operations in multiple countries.
Private Equity backed — an entrepreneur who is leveraging private equity support to achieve their long term vision and maximise the growth of their business.
Social enterprise – an entrepreneur who trades for social and/or environmental purposes. As with all businesses, their social enterprise competes to deliver goods and services but they are distinctive because their social and/or environmental purpose is absolutely central to what they do.
