2024 award recipients

Recently announced, as of 6th May, 252 organisations received this highly respected award for 2024.  Formerly known as the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, this year’s King’s Awards is obviously only in its second year, following the King’s coronation.

Some extraordinary companies have been recognised for their achievements in one or more categories, which is an especially incredible, and rare accomplishment. One such organisation is ZEEKO LIMITED, which has been recognised for both their contribution to International Trade, as well as their Innovation in the manufacturing of special-purpose machinery.

After receiving an award

According to the government website, if an organisation has received an award this year, representatives will be invited to a Royal reception – usually attended by a senior Royal – taking place in the summer of 2024. At this reception, the organisations will be presented with the award by a Lord Lieutenant, one of The King’s representatives. The business will also receive an official certificate called a Grant of Appointment, in addition to a commemorative crystal trophy to acknowledge its achievements.

Furthermore, winning organisations are able to fly a King’s Award flag at their main office, with the added freedom to use the distinctive emblem on any marketing collateral, such as packaging, advertisements, website branding and all other business goods, including fleet vehicles, for a total of 5 years.

The benefits

There are many benefits to receiving the award, beyond the recognition for organisations and their incredible achievements.

King’s Award recipients report an increase in press coverage for their work, as well as gaining worldwide recognition, making it a very commercially advantageous award to win. It’s also reported that staff morale is boosted due to an acknowledgement of their hard work, in addition to an increase in the organisation’s market value, proving to be an incredibly powerful vehicle for mergers and acquisitions.
