BCE Environmental Leadership Awards launch

29/07/2010 - News Update: BCE

Business Commitment to the Environment (BCE) Environmental Leadership Awards scheme is one of the longest running, and considered one of the most prestigious, environmental award schemes in the UK.

The Awards aim to provide an opportunity for any business to demonstrate clearly that corporate responsibility is an integral part of their organisation, that they are innovative and are ahead of the competition.

Categories open for entry are:

-Process
-Product
-Management for Resource Efficiency
-Engagement
-SME

Previous BCE Award winners may enter the Continuous Commitment and Improvement category.

Entries are invited from UK businesses that are for profit for commercial enterprise. The other criteria are:

~ The entry must be for a specific product, process or management project or campaign, which is clearly defined and exemplary in itself.
~ The project must be substantially complete at the time of entry or have been completed within the past two years.
~ Tangible results must be available that demonstrate environmental leadership in the sector and the financial viability of the project.
~ The environment must be embedded within the business model of the organisation. It must be part of the corporate philosophy and practice.

Entries must be received by 11 October.
