The WOW! Awards prepare to reward excellent customer service

28/07/2010 - News Update: WOW! Awards

The WOW! Awards use a unique method of motivation to help propel organisations into a league of premium customer service providers.

With the introduction of ISO 9000, organisations were required to provide a feedback mechanism for their customers which was generally interpreted to be a complaints system. The WOW! Awards aim to take a positive approach to customer feedback and help well respected organisations to promote great customer service.

Following on from the success of the WOW! Awards first ever Awards ceremony last year, organisers have now announced the categories for the 2010 Awards programme.

Open to all organisations these categories are based purely on customer nominations and apply to individuals and teams as appropriate, who deliver services directly or on behalf of the organisation:
-WOW! You Changed My Life
-WOW! What a Team
-OWW! To WOW!
-WOW! That’s Really Special
-WOW! That’s What I Call Service
-Small Business, Big WOW!

In the following categories competition will be against organisations within the same sector (Business to Community, Business to Business and Serving the Community) based on customer nominations:
-Serving Consumers: Best Business 2010
-Serving Other Businesses: Best Business/Organisation 2010
-Serving the Community: Best Organisation 2010

Categories in this section are based on customer nominations combined with internal knowledge of The WOW! Team:
-Most Inspiring Front Liner 2010
-WOW! That’s Motivation
-WOW! My Colleagues Love Me
-Best Newcomer 2010
-Best Leader 2010

The WOW! Awards accreditation system is now used across all sectors from Blue Chips such as British Gas and Cadbury’s to public sector organisations such as Warwickshire County Council, NHS Basingstoke and Merseyside Police to SME’s such as I Want One of Those, Canvas4Life and Everyday Miracles.

The closing date for the Awards is 27 August with judging taking place at Tower 42 on 28 and 29 September .
