The Queen's honours process recognises the outstanding achievements of people across all walks of life. 

Coordinated by the Central Chancery, thousands of medals are given out by the Queen and her representatives during 20 investiture ceremonies taking place each year. 

Learn more about the type of medals, process and etiquette of receiving a gong such as an MBE, OBE, CBE or knighthood. Experience the emotion of such a special day whilst you watch members of the public, and a few famous faces, accept honours for their exceptional achievements.
